MinhHa Company Pte is found on September/2004 at Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. The company strategic plan is to exploit and process bentonite clay into different type of products which serves the national economy, having equal or better quality comparing with imported products and with a very comparative price, contributing in promoting Vietnamese brand.
Bentonite uses in forming drilling mixtures and other high-end applications. Bentonite can be found in nature. Its main mineral component is Montmorillonite. Other components include quazt, mica, fenspat, cacbonat etc.
Bentonite used in MinhHa’s products is extracted from NhaMe Bentonite clay mine (at PhongPhu commune, TuyHoa district, Binhthuan province, VietNam) under mining licence of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued on 2006. This Bentonite clay mine locates in NhaMe valley and is the only alkaline bentonite with the capacity of million of tonnes. The NhaMe-Vinh Hao bentonite clay mine stripe is among the biggest in the world.
Bentonite clay mine owned and exploited by MinhHa Company Pte has alkaline mineral component Montmorillonite, its main cations exchange are Na+ , K+ (Sodium Montmorillonite). The basic physical and chemical characteristic of Bentonite is as following:
